An established North Attleboro, Massachusetts, entrepreneur, Steven Bankert, began his career assisting his family in the restaurant business. Completing an electrical apprenticeship after high school, he earned journeymen’s and master’s licenses and established an electrical contracting company that grew to encompass a team of nine electricians. Across two decades, Steven Bankert maintained an expanding roster of clients for commercial, industrial, and residential wiring projects. He oversaw everything from estimating to bookkeeping.
In conjunction with his contracting company, Steven Bankert managed an expanding portfolio of local laundromats, including seven Laundry World locations. Over the years, he has operated a variety of complementary businesses, including Sue’s Ice Cream, Norton Mini Golf and Ice Cream, and the popular indoor family entertainment center Kidz Wurld.
Across all these ventures, he has emphasized the importance of superb customer service as a way of achieving repeat business and sustained profitability. In this, he applied lessons learned from his grandparents and parents. His practical skills extend to washing machine and dryer repair, carpentry, and even truck repair. Steven Bankert served as president of the Lions Club in Plainville and on the North Attleboro Finance Committee, and was active with the Coin Laundry Association for years.
